A little about me, I have a strong addiction to coffee (Lorelai Gilmore would be proud). My two puppies (Penelope Lane and Charlotte Rae) rule the roost. I have personally been involved with over 300 weddings and countless events over the past 13 years! I am an open book so slide into our DMs, just a warning I am full of terrible dad jokes, and I speak fluent sarcasm!
I actually grew up in the Memphis area, got married, and settled down smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We wanted to be in the heart of a city that is growing and evolving in a positive way. Helping lovebirds plan their wedding, moms throw over-the-top birthdays, or friends gather around and socialize brings this community together. The phrase I live by is "I make things happen and I make it pretty".
When it comes to planning your party, designing your flowers, creating a custom installation, or managing your wedding, we will pull design inspiration from your passions. We love creating slightly unorthodox, yet timeless celebrations that are as approachable as they are elegant. We are planners for the new fashion bride. Building from a background of project management, interior decorating, and event planning in the Memphis area, we want to harness the things that make you unique and mold them into an occasion that expresses your personality in a classic and romantic way.

The Girls
I like to say that people come into your life when you need them, and they need you. This team has fit that bill completely. I have loved watching this group come together. There was an underlying interest to learn more about planning events, and it’s been a joy developing their skills and interests in planning weddings. Event planning is so vast, and there is so much involved with running an event planning business and they have each taken a vital area and ran with it.
I would have laughed if you had told me we would be here today when I was let go from my job and only had one pending wedding for that year. But we’ve now done hundreds of events and absolutely love being able to be a part of the happiest day of our couples’ lives!
Brittany Turner
Wedding Manager - Boujie Unicorn
Brittany became a Connor & Co. bride in 2019 then in the crazy of the pandemic a crucial planner. She got her degree in hospitality from the University of Memphis. She was integral in planning the branding of events for a major hotel corporation. She has two sweet german shepherds, Roxie and Leroy Jenkins, and a severe travel bug.
Rebecca Embrey
Wedding Manager - Right Hand Unicorn
Rebecca is a Union University graduate with a Political Science degree and a Communications minor. She is a law nerd by day. We met, working at a radio station doing promotional events and concerts, and have worked events together for over five years. She is the yin to my yang. She reads my mind, finishes my sentences… whole nine yards. I don’t know what I would do without this dear friend! She is the only one I could even think of to bring on to help grow Connor & Co.!
Hannah Laschinger (& Jason)
Wedding Manager - Bubbly Unicorn
Hannah lived in Memphis for a little over three years. And has since become a consultant from afar in Birmingham, Alabama. After nearly majoring in Event Management at the University of Georgia, Hannah's love of event planning was renewed after organizing her wedding in 2019. She's been working in higher education for seven years but needed an extra oomph of creativity and magic, so she slid into Connor & Co.'s DMs to see if she could join the team. Helping engaged couples plan their perfect wedding day allows her to experience that joy regularly! You can find her snuggling with her Goldendoodle Magnolia, keeping her cat brothers, Dave and Oliver, from scratching the furniture, and occasionally loaning out her handsome 6' 6" husband on event setup days.
Mallory Carrasquilla
Wedding Manager - Momma Unicorn
Mallory was volunteered one wonderful day by Brittany (see above)! She fit in right off the bat and has been a wonderful addition to the fam and instantly became our mom too. Also, she would not give me a blurb on herself so she gets this one.
Ashleigh Kempf
Wedding Manager - Sprinkle Unicorn
Ashleigh just graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Hospitality with a minor in culinary, baking, and pastries. She loves hiking, camping, baking, and creating yummy food. She is also always ready to jump in to help!
Bethany Radcliff
Wedding Manager - Book Unicorn
Bethany grew up in Tennessee and Texas. She recently moved to Memphis after growing up nearby. She’s a full-time data manager with a library and publishing background and loves bringing her creativity and organization skills to events. When not working, you can find her thrifting, doing an art project, reading, or hanging out with her cat Louisa May Alcat.
Blakely Lawson
Wedding Manager - Sporty Unicorn
Blakely moved from Knoxville to Memphis three years ago. She received her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!) and her Master’s in Health Promotion from the University of Memphis. She got married in January 2020 to her high school sweetheart Damon. After becoming the unofficial point person in several events and weddings, it was a no-brainer when she reached out to Connor & Co to learn more about how to lean even more into the beautiful chaos of event planning. Blakely has a strong love for all the things: coffee, true crime, and dogs. If you can’t find her curled up somewhere with a book, you can find her snuggling with her sweet puppies, Ada & Josie.
Céline Bordet
Wedding Manager - French Unicorn
Céline has been all over the world. She is originally from France but came here in 2019 and has lived in Memphis ever since! She has a strong project management and operations background and has been such a fun addition to the Connor & Co. Team!
Miss Penny
Emotional Therapy Nugget - Playful Unicorn
Penny is Kelsey’s pup. Her favorite things include making her rounds around the office to collect her hourly pets, her dino stuffed animal, and showing her favorite toys to everyone. Her job includes keeping a diligent watch on the door (as pictured) and sleeping on her royal throne!
