Wagnolia Bells | Wedding Day Pet Service

Wagnolia Bells: A Wedding Day Pet Service

  1. What exactly does your company do?

Wagnolia Bells is a full Wedding Day Pet Service.  We offer a safe, personal and professional experience for your pet, so our couples will be worry and stress free.  After an initial consultation with our clients, we customize each service based on the personality of each pet; therefore, from the initial pickup, to the care at the venue, to the interaction during photographs, and finally at the end during drop off, our clients rest assured knowing that their pet is safely chaperoned and chauffeured.

In addition to our wedding day services, we also provide chaperones for engagement photographs, rehearsal dinners, family photography sessions, and staged photography shoots.

Some of the services we provide include communication and coordination with all vendors and adherence to all timelines.  We also contact all venue managers in advance to map exactly where pets are allowed well in advance of the event date.

Safe transportation is a priority, so all pets are secured either in a kennel or with a dog harness and seatbelt.  The first sixty miles of transportation is included in each Basic Package.

Once onsite at the venue, we exercise, treat and water, and clean up after each pet.  Standard “fluffing” is included, and coordination with florists for any floral collars is provided..

We also serve as canine and feline attendants to the couple’s photographer by providing positive distractions with treats and toys.  We want the photographer to focus on taking exquisite photos and not have to worry about who’s taking care of the pup.

Finally, after a full day of chaperoning, we transport our couple’s pup home, or wherever it may stay for the evening.  If necessary, we arrange for a sitter or boarding services as an add-on to our Basic Packages.

  2. How did you get started?

Wagnolia Bells influence began in May of 2019 during the wedding of our daughter.  She was adamant about having her dog  (Archie) included in the day’s celebrations and photographs, and rightly so; he is a huge part of our family.  Unfortunately, it rained that day, and Archie was not allowed inside any parts of the venue.  Photos with Archie were limited.  We did not hire a professional dog chaperone, which in retrospect, was a huge mistake.  The groom’s father graciously stepped in to chaperone Archie, and he almost missed the mother/groom dance at the reception because he had to return Arch to the Inn where he was staying.

It was poor planning on our part.  I would not recommend assigning dog-chaperoning duty to a family member or to a member of the bridal party. We learned this the hard way. Your family or friends shouldn’t have to miss any part of such a fun and important celebration.

  3. How much does it cost?

Our Basic Packages include everything that a couple needs to safely include their pet in their wedding, whether it is for pre-ceremony photos, for parts of the ceremony, or for inclusion in the reception.

Our Basic Packages range in price from $200,  $375, and $550, and include two, four, and six hours.  Custom packages and add-ons can also be arranged to fit any budget.

10% per wedding sale will be donated to a local animal shelter of each client’s choice.

A non-refundable 50% reservation fee is required to reserve a date.

    Engagement Sessions start at $95.

Specific details for our Basic Package descriptions and for add-ons can be found on our website.
