9 Tips to Make Most of Floral Budget

1. Candelabras

Candelabras are so versatile when it comes to wedding design! They really make space feel more intimate for reception by candlelight and are perfect if you love a minimalist design as stand-alone pieces! They can even be reused at home for dinner parties or holiday meals if you buy them instead of rent!

2. Mix it up

You don’t have to put the same giant floral centerpieces on every table for your reception. Our biggest advice to brides looking to save on florals is to be open to multiple centerpiece designs. Have the big centerpieces on tables reserved for family and the wedding party. Then throw in some candles and eucalyptus for the surrounding table to make a cohesive and elegant wedding design without breaking the bank!

3. Single-stem

Another minimalist’s dream wedding design! While expensive, choosing exotic or unique florals but using them sparingly will actually save you money in the long run! Plus using unique and exotic flowers is sure to be a wow factor to your guests! Another plus side to using single-stem centerpieces is less waste! Instead of tossing bouquets on bouquets and huge floral arrangements, you’ll only be tossing a handful of flowers!

4. Accessorize with fruit

We’ve done this, and personally, it’s one of our favorite new trends! It not only adds a pop of color but a touch of elegance as well!! Best part? There is little to no prep when creating fruitful centerpieces and accessories! Fruits are another great way to incorporate seasonal centerpieces! Lastly, you can literally just pop on down to the nearest grocery store or farmer’s market instead of relying on a vendor to order something for you!

5. Reusable pottery

Using your wedding centerpiece design as an excuse to get those vases you’ve always wanted? Uh yes, please! Being able to reuse vases from your wedding as home decor is one of our favorite ways to save and take a  piece of your wedding night with you! Not only is it a great way to reduce, reuse, recycle, but you get your own wedding party favor besides a bunch of leftover food!!

6. Candles only

Personally, all-candle centerpieces are my favorite! On top of being budget-friendly, it adds an intimate and romantic glow to your reception space! It sure to be a wow factor and tie the entire wedding design in a nice little bow. Getting various sizes of vases of votives adds beautiful texture and elegance to the design as well. Toss in a couple of strands of greenery and viola! A beautiful and in-expensive centerpiece design!

7. Bud vases

According to Bride.com, traditional English weddings use florals more sparingly than American weddings. Luckily, English floral design is so in right now! We love adding bud vases to tabletops, so the table isn’t completely overpowered by a floral arrangement! It adds a delicate touch without being too bland! Arranging clusters of various-sized flowers and stems can add a beautiful and dainty English Garden vibe.

8. Food decor

Charcuterie is all the rage right now and adding it onto each table is the perfect appetizer for a seated dinner or cocktail hour necessity! Having food decor as a centerpiece almost completely tosses a floral budget out of the window (besides bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party that is)! And come on, who doesn’t love food!

9. Baby’s Breath

Baby’s Breath looks amazing when used in abundance! A runner made purely of baby’s breath would be a timeless centerpiece and save you some dough! We’ve even done a ceremony backdrop completely out of baby’s breath and it was a HIT! You can even spray paint it to match the color scheme of your wedding design! It’s such a versatile and in-expensive flower that you could never go wrong incorporating Baby’s Breath into your floral design for your wedding ceremony or reception!

10. Runner’s only

Some people aren’t a huge fan of flowers, to begin with, but still want a stunning centerpiece for their tables. Runners are a great way to add decor but keep it simple and budget-friendly! Whether it’s a cloth runner or greenery or palm leaves, you can get super creative with your wedding design when it comes to a runner for your long table’s centerpiece!

These 10 suggestions can all be mixed and matched to any wedding design you choose! Luckily, they are all also extremely trendy wedding design elements and continue to be timeless and unique.
