7 Steps to Creating an Exciting Wedding Website

7 Steps to Creating an Exciting Wedding Website

Wedding websites are all the rage! We absolutely recommend getting one and putting your important info on there! Here are 5 steps to creating on that will make your guests super excited to be a part of your big day!

  1. Match your wedding design

We have a great website builder in the planning pod to help you easily set it up and have the ability to integrate with your RSVP needs. If you aren’t a bride with us Minted is also a great option or the knot!

  2. Add important info - without oversharing

Dates, locations, etc are great but do not overshare either. If someone isn’t invited to the rehearsal dinner and you put that info on your page it can be really confusing and the wrong people will show up.

  3. Tell your story!

Sometimes people grew up with just one of you and don’t know the other or your story, or haven’t talked to you in a minute and might not know where you are currently. Tell them how you met, how you got engaged, your favorite things. Especially when they are purchasing gifts for you it’s always fun to know a little about you guys on a personal level.

  4. Give guests details to make it a mini-vacay

We make it easy for you, we made a blog for some awesome things to do in Memphis as a wedding guest!

  5. Include logistic & day-of timeline

It does not have to be super detailed but a good overview gives the guests an idea on how the day will flow.

  6. Include Registry Info

This is the only place you can put registry information that is acceptable etiquette wise, I don’t make the rules I just tell you about them! Here is a blog giving you a little more info if you need to set up your registries!

  7. Add online RSVP as a backup - not the main option

I will always and forever be a paper RSVP person, but we do give you the option in our planning platform to have a great RSVP tracker on your website. Same deal, etiquette wise online RSVPs are technically a no-no, but this is 2020.
